Psychological Counselling Services in Sydney
Help to navigate stress, relationships and life transitions
People seek psychological support for many different reasons — sometimes for concerns affecting them personally, sometimes because of difficulties within a relationship or family, and sometimes when important family decisions need to be made.
JSA Counselling provides four distinct forms of psychological support. The right starting point depends on who is involved, what is happening and what you would like to change.
What is happening in your life?
Individual Counselling
When something in your own life needs attention.
Individual Counselling is very helpful for professionals and those navigating high-pressure stress, burnout, decision fatigue, or major personal crossroads. It provides a confidential space to work through life challenges with an experienced psychologist.
Couples Counselling
When the relationship itself needs attention.
Couples Counselling can help partners understand recurring difficulties, improve communication, rebuild connection and work through important decisions together.
Family Counselling
When difficulties are affecting the family as a whole.
Family Counselling looks beyond one person to the relationships, communication patterns and pressures affecting the wider family..
Family Mediation
When families or couples need help reaching workable decisions..
Family Mediation provides a structured and impartial process for navigating disagreements, tackling conflict and finding practical ways forward without resorting to expensive legal action.
30+ years of experience
I am one of a small number of psychological practitioners who are endorsed in both Counselling and Organisational psychology as well as Mediation. So not am I only a therapist, but I am out in the world in business and health organisations.
This combination gives me additional skills and insights when families and couples are navigating conflict, separation, or complex disputes.
Where many services offer either therapeutic support or mediation, I draw on both, understanding not just how to help resolve a dispute, but the psychological dynamics driving it.
My practice has developed a reputation for supporting people who carry significant career and personal responsibility — medical professionals, lawyers, executives and business owners, along with their partners and families — many of whom share the challenge of balancing high-performing careers with personal wellbeing.
