Individual Therapy for High-Pressure Lives
When life is one big balancing act.
Many capable professionals carry significant pressure — complex decisions, high expectations, constant demands, and little room to pause. Over time this can show up as stress that doesn’t switch off, difficulty sleeping, irritability, a sense of disconnection, or a quiet feeling that something needs to change.
Individual therapy offers a confidential space to step back, make sense of what’s happening, and develop practical ways of moving forward.
Whether you are navigating workplace intensity, personal challenges, family pressures or a combination of all three, therapy provides focused support without judgment.
What we work on
Persistent stress, pressure, or burnout
Depression, anxiety, overthinking, or difficulty switching off
Low mood, loss of motivation, or a sense of emptiness
Relationship strain or communication difficulties, sexual health
Life transitions, career uncertainty, or questions of direction
Trauma, past experiences, or unresolved emotional patterns
Building resilience, boundaries, and sustainable ways of working and living
Who is this for?
People with demanding careers or other significant responsibilities.
They may be accustomed to solving problems, remaining composed and supporting other people, while giving little attention to their own needs.
I have worked with professionals, business owners, parents and people from many cultures – everyone needs a moment to ease the pressure and correct the course.
What to expect
Your first session does not commit you to continue
As counselling progresses, Jasmine will help you explore your experiences, thoughts, emotions and responses. Together, you may begin to recognise patterns that are contributing to distress or preventing change.
Counselling may involve:
Clarifying the concerns that matter most to you
Understanding how past and present experiences may be connected
Identifying patterns in thoughts, emotions, relationships or behaviour
Considering different ways of responding to difficult situations
Developing practical psychological toolkits for life
Building greater confidence in making decisions
Working towards goals that are meaningful and realistic for you
Counselling is collaborative. Jasmine will bring psychological knowledge and an objective perspective, while you bring your own experiences, values and understanding of your life.
The initial appointment also gives you an opportunity to decide whether my approach feels suitable for you. A constructive working relationship with your psychologist is an important part of counselling, and it is reasonable to ask questions about the process.
